INTEGRATED MESSAGING
Available May 1, 2009
Until now, people whose email account was not on Exchange did not have access to voice mail through their email Inbox. Integrated Messaging allows access to voice mail from a phone and as well as from an IMAP e-mail client. Starting May 1, 2009 this service will be available to most voice mail users.
Supported IMAP e-mail clients for Integrated Messaging
PC - Outlook 2007, Outlook 2003, Thunderbird 2.0
MacIntosh - Thunderbird 2.0
During set-up, the IMAP e-mail client will create an Inbox for voicemail that is separate from the Inbox for your e-mail service. This new Inbox will receive your voicemail messages in wav file format. You will be able to listen to your messages through your speakers or through a headset.
To set-up this service on your computer, simply logon to the Concordia Portal and change your vm-netname password, then set-up your IMAP email client. Instructions for setting up Integrated Messaging can be found in User Guides and Tutorials
Note: This service is not available for voice mail users who are using shared mailboxes.
